Thornkloof is a 3.200 hectare farm situated in the Eastern Cape of the Republic of South Africa. It is 17 miles from the university town of Grahamstown and about 50 miles from the Indian Ocean. Our farm is not game fenced so that the game can roam freely. The Eastern Cape is Malaraia free and offers the most beautiful landscapes.

Due to the geographical position’s mild climate the vegetation is manifold and there is a great ornithological diversity. Large raptors like Marshall and Black Eagle as well as Secretary Birds and the huge Coribustard can be seen while driving through the hunting area.
The climate is subject to continental and oceanic influences, therefore heat waves or rainy weather is usually not persistent.
